ASAP Supplies Ltd. have signed up to support UK marine conservation by supporting the charity, Sea-Changers. ASAP Supplies, which celebrated its 25th anniversary earlier this year will become a Silver Level Business Supporter of Sea-Changers. Their support includes a generous £500 donation. The money will feed into Sea-Changers’ grant fund which is distributed to UK based marine conservation projects. ASAP Supplies, in supporting this innovative charity, demonstrates its strong environmental commitment. ASAP also joins a growing community of Sea-Changer businesses and individuals who are passionate about giving something back to the seas they love. In September 2014 Sea-Changers will be at the PSP Southampton Boat Show as the chosen charity of PSP, the Show’s lead sponsor.
ASAP Supplies has a considerable history of environmental support which began in 2002 when they began to highlight a range of environmentally friendly products. They developed their own range of environmentally friendly products under the CleenLife brand and in 2009 they were the winners of the National Environmental award issued by the Marine Trades Association (MTA) for doing the most to promote marine environmental awareness.
Sea-Changers will distribute the donated money, in accordance with their funding policy, to a range of projects engaged in; direct marine clean up action, education and awareness-raising about marine conservation issues, species and habitat protection, and conservation research. To date, Sea-Changers has supported 24 marine conservation projects around the UK’s coastlines. Many of these projects undertake grassroots community conservation work and would not have taken place without the Sea-Changers grant.
Peter Edwards, owner of ASAP Supplies said: “Our coastline and in-land waterways gives us the opportunity to enjoy the sight of wildlife above and below the water, all set in the natural environment. So it is vital that we make sure it is here for future generations to enjoy and learn from. We are pleased to support Sea-Changers in their work in the environmental sectors.”
Helen Webb, Co-Founder of Sea-Changers said: “It’s great to be working with ASAP Supplies and to receive this fantastic donation. The company has always demonstrated a real commitment to protecting and maintaining the environment and this partnership is a very practical way to address some of the issues facing our seas today. We hope that our relationship with ASAP Supplies will continue for many years to come”.

Tollesbury Marina and Cruising Club has become the first UK marina to agree a partnership with Sea-Changers, the fundraising charity for UK marine conservation.
